These programs are possibly the most important programs I have written. They had real world impact and
were written to solve business problems. How I ended up writing these programs was a stroke of luck.
The first Excel Data Population basically fell into my lap when one of my
coworkers found that they needed a very specifically formatted bunch of data for bulk payroll submission.
I was called in and more than happily started to figure out how to make it happen. I went way overboard and
learned Excel VBA on my own time to create a solution. In the end that solution required my coworker to copy
and paste the payroll from the database into the excel sheet and click to run. A weeks worth of work turned into
an hour! That is how I ended up learning VB.
From there I began seeking out more projects and in my spare time I would work on them. It is always my end
goal to create a solution that requires the least amount of time and effort from my "customers". Of course
this is barely scratching the surface of what it means to truely produce software solutions but I really
enjoyed it.
It is my hope that I can bring my drive and excitement in creating new and innovative solutions for problems to
your company.
